HOW IT WORKS To enter the competition submit your idea or innovation with environmental impact. We’ll help you fast track that idea into a business and bypass all possible pitfalls along the way. You’ll learn how to get your idea funded and launched. Once you are selected to join ClimateLaunchpad, the Boot Camp and coaching sessions will help you develop your idea to a rock-solid plan. You will pitch this during your National Final and the Regional Finals. All entries will be reviewed and ideas that fit the bill of our competition get invited to join.   Culture Resource, in partnership with the British Council Lebanon, is organizing "The Podcast Multaqa" in Beirut and online on the 14th and 15th of June 2023. The forum dives into the present and the future of podcasting and its production in Arabic on topics related to arts and culture. Podcasters and experts will hold sessions for two days to reflect, discuss and exchange about this medium, its content, publishing platforms, and experiences accumulated in this field. The forum draws upon Culture Resource's experience in designing and implementing the Mudawanat project, which was launched in 2020, in partnership with the BritishCouncil, and will conclude this year. The project conducted two rounds of training for a group of 27 participants, some of whom contributed to the production of Mudawanat podcast, which comprises more than 60 episodes across 7 series.   The Master’s Programme in Human Rights and Democratisation in Africa (HRDA) is a prestigious one-year course where 25-30 exceptional individuals spend six months in Pretoria and six months at one of the 12 partner universities all over Africa. Scholarships A limited number of up to 30 students are selected per year. Depending on the availability of funding, full-scholarships covering at least tuition, accommodation and official programme activities are covered for up to 25 citizens of Africa. Students who do not receive scholarships may be admitted as self-funding or partial-self funding students, provided they meet all the minimum admission criteria and provided they guarantee payment of all or at least a significant part of tuition, accommodation and official programme activities, to an amount set by the Centre annually. The Climate Science Olympiad is inviting young people, under 25 years old, from around the world, to take part in the Climate Science Olympiad 2023, find a solution for the world's biggest climate change problem and become climate leaders of tomorrow.  What it is it ?  The Climate Science Olympiad will take place online, and consists of four rounds: Qualifier, Quarterfinal, Semi finals and Finals. The first two rounds are a multiple-choice quiz. In the last two rounds a detailed proposal is required to solve a real-world climate problem.  Problems will cover 7 different topics: clean energy, agriculture, water resources, biodiversity, sustainable economy, sustainable transportation, and global development.  Who can apply ? Students and young people between under 16 and 25 years old. They can participate alone or in a team of two.  How to apply ? Participants need to simply register here. The qualifying round is a 25-minute climate quiz, which can be taken online at any time. School
